Communion Prep Volunteer Information

Dear friends,

When we consider volunteering it is easy to focus on all the tasks and events that must be accomplished and allow “getting things done” to be our motivation, as if getting the task done was the only end, but it is in our serving together that we often find that joint sense of camaraderie and purpose we so long for. So serving alongside each other is an act of grace; it's the building of a family, the knitting together of the body of Christ itself through the often seemingly mundane act of service. At Trinity we believe that as we serve and submit one to another the presence of Jesus himself is made manifest, binding our hearts more firmly together in unity, grace, and love. We hope that as you “rediscover your calling” in the church through service that you not only find a sense of purpose, but also fulfillment, calling, and rest.

By Grace,

Director of Music and Congregational Engagement

Faithfulness in Your Role

As we are cast upon the Lord through prayer, we can find the ability to be faithful in our respective roles. As volunteers it is our responsibility to be:

  1. Be on time
  2. Be Prepared
  3. Be faithful in graciously caring for those under your supervision

Committing ourselves to following the expectations of the team (outlined below) will be crucial to maintaining unity, humility, and growth within the area where you are serving.

Colossians 3:23–24; Nehemiah 1:4–6

Matthew 25:40

“The King will reply, truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the
least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

“We deeply appreciate your willingness to serve and pray you will enjoy whichever team you participate in. Our volunteers add greatly to the overall experience of our visitors and members alike. From a friendly face at the front door, to beautiful worship music, meals prepared on special occasions, special events for the men and women to enjoy, a safe place for the kids while parents enjoy the service. All of this creates a church home to find rest and fellowship. You are about to become an integral part of this and we are humbled and grateful.”
